Pre-processing of FFAs no longer necessary - BioFuelBox's technology is capable of single-step transformation of high free fatty acid material into pure B100 biodiesel, thus making acid-esterification pre-processing no longer necessary. By processing high FFA content material directly, BioFuelBox removes the need for caustic chemicals - and their associated issues of safety, storage, cost and handling.
Filtering FFAs is unneeded - Removing FFAs from the material presents a yield problem. While it might be economical to do so with yellow grease, this is impractical for brown grease where FFA levels can reach 100%. BioFuelBox's ability to convert both low and high FFA waste feedstock allows biodiesel manufacturers to process waste feedstocks optimally.
Co-locate instead of translocate - Some businesses have sought to reduce cost through co-locating their operations by crushing facilities to reduce transportation costs.
